In June 2026, Compass Greenfield Development joined representatives from the Algonquins of Pikwakanagan First Nation for an Aki (land) Ceremony at the site of the Golden Leaf Agrivoltaics Project in Drummond/North Elmsley.
Golden Leaf is a proposed agrivoltaics project being developed by Golden Leaf Agrivoltaics Inc., a partnership between the Algonquins of Pikwakanagan First Nation and Compass Greenfield Development. Golden Leaf was awarded a Long Term 2 contract with the Independent Electricity System Operator in April 2026. It will have 9 MW AC of solar capacity and incorporate sheep grazing beneath and between the solar panels. We are grateful to the Algonquins of Pikwakanagan First Nation for leading the ceremony and sharing this meaningful occasion with our team.
