{"id":2613,"date":"2026-03-27T14:31:30","date_gmt":"2026-03-27T14:31:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/compassgreenfield.ca\/?p=2613"},"modified":"2026-03-27T14:31:30","modified_gmt":"2026-03-27T14:31:30","slug":"commercial-operation-almonte-bess-1-and-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/compassgreenfield.ca\/fr\/commercial-operation-almonte-bess-1-and-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Commercial Operation Achieved for Almonte BESS 1 and 2 Battery Energy Storage Projects"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Compass Greenfield Development (\u201cCGD\u201d) is pleased to announce that <a href=\"https:\/\/almonteenergystorage.com\/\">Almonte BESS 1<\/a> et <a href=\"https:\/\/almonteenergystorage2.com\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/almonteenergystorage2.com\/\">Almonte BESS 2<\/a> projects have achieved commercial operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With these milestones, CGD has now brought both the first E-LT1 BESS project and the first LT-1 BESS project from contract award through to commercial operation. These projects reflect CGD\u2019s ability to develop, finance, construct, and commission battery energy storage projects efficiently and in partnership with key stakeholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The two co-located battery energy storage projects are contracted with the IESO through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ieso.ca\/Sector-Participants\/Resource-Acquisition-and-Contracts\/Long-Term-RFP-and-Expedited-Process\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.ieso.ca\/Sector-Participants\/Resource-Acquisition-and-Contracts\/Long-Term-RFP-and-Expedited-Process\">Expedited Long-Term 1 and Long-Term 1<\/a> procurement processes.
